Holla Holland! (Part I)

THE MOST AMAZING STUDY TRIP EVER!!!

12 May 2014
transit in Kuala Lumpur
Had a selfie in the plane
This day, we went to Holland. Our meetpoint was in front of KFC, but my friends and I wait for the lecturer in the waiting room then checked-in together. Our flight departure was at 18.45, but it delayed for two times, the first is only 5 minutes and the second takes 30minutes.  We were starving, so we ate all the snacks that we have in our backpack. When the plane ready to fly, we sat but we could not sleep before transit, because we avoid any jetlag when we arrived at Holland, so we try to open our eyes. Kuala Lumpur was our transit destination, we stayed there for 50minutes.

First of all, thanks to Mrs. Ririt and Mr. Brury because they told us the secret to avoid jetlag J today, we arrived at Schiphol Airport around 5.55am. We did some short preparation for our first vacation, we went to toilet 5 by 5, because we need someone to take care of our luggage. When we’ve got our baggage, we had to wait Mr. Brury and Mrs. Ririt to found the van while waiting for them, we took some pictur

J the weather was so cold and also windy.
Volendam
Our first destination was Volendam, known as tourism village. There are souvenir stores, photo studio, cafe, restaurants and beautiful spots to take pictures, there is also a cheese museum there. In Volendam, we bought some souvenirs and the saddest thing was I cant found any money changer, I brought dollar to europe, such a silly thing L but one of my friend lend me 50euro, Thanks darl! J oiyaa, we also took a picture wearing the traditional dress of Netherland, Mrs. Ririt also bought some meals and hot choco for us. Once again, thanks Mrs J (It was my first time for eating haring, fyi)
Willem Alexander at Keukenhoff
Keukenhoff
Our second destination was Keukenhof. The second biggest garden flower in the world! AMAZING!! We also met Mr. Paul there. We took a lot of pictures there. And yeahh TULIPS!!! We found tulips everywhere. There is a green house known as Willem Alexander, when we came into it, the fragnance of tulips were very very nice. But unfortunately, the time went too fast. We have to leave Keukenhof, because we avoid the traffic. Then Mr. Paul treat us ice cream, hurray!!! Hartelijk dank, Mr. Paul. After ate the ice cream, we are ready to go to Vlissingen. Yeay! The first thing that came to my mind about Vlissingen is “Middle of Nowhere” hahahaha. We stayed at Broedershoek Vacantie, Koudekerke. What a lovely day.

Back to school, back to reality. Our first day in Hz University, so excited!
At Broedershok, before went to school
At Banne Auberge
Before dinner
Mrs. Karin (she is a very nice person) told us about living in Holland, the people, and a also a lil bit a about history. After that, we joined Sustainable Development Class, it was not a class actually, because we did it outside. We have to differentiate trashes (plastic, paper, can, food, and garbage). Don’t ask me about the smell, it was really smelly! But we enjoy it. It was not common for us, because what we knoe about trash is only organic and non-organic. We wear a pair of gloves and the ones who wear a wol-shirt, they have to wear a special costum. Then, we are invited to have lunch at balcony. We ate tomato soup, sandwich, fruits and we drank milk. Oiyaa, we also enjoy some yoghurt there. After lunch, we have two dutch classes, homagaaaaaaahh L but it was really fun, because we met some new friends. The student of “Dutch for Beginners” are the exchange students. So, it was not embrassing for us, because we only know a little bit about dutch. Around 4pm, we went back to broedershoek and prepared for a welcome dinner. We had dinner at Banne Auberge, a French Restaurant. We met Mr. John, Mr. Frinzo, Mr. Paul, Mr. Frank, Mr. Jogan and also Mrs. Karin. The appetizer is Asparagus Soup and also I don’t know the name, but it’s a food with a special Mozzarella Cheese. There is also a meal, it looks like a dry-bread and we ate it we special sauce (once again I don’t know the name) The main dinner, consist of combined foods, such as French, Germany and also Dutch. It was really nice. I tried them one by one hehe. Mr. Paul also offered me a sparkling water, it taste like a soda water. And Mrs. Ririt also allowed me to try her Red Porto, great! After had our dinner, we have some talks. I had a conversation with Mr. John as the Dean of Economic Faculty, and also with Mr. Frinzo as the Head of International Relationship. In the restaurant, there is also mini bookshelf, really cute.

Ice Cream. Lekker!!
